Each year the National Theatre invites ten writers to create new plays for young people to perform. In Spring 2014, 220 youth theatre companies were invited present the premiers of these plays in venues from Scotland to Cornwall and Northern Ireland to Norfolk. Ten companies were then chosen go on to perform at the National Theatre. Connections celebrates great new writing for the stage – and the energy, commitment and talent of young theatre-makers.

The Belgrade Community & Education Company was delighted to be invited to produce Pronoun as part of National Theatre Connections 2014. This is the first time that some of the most talented performers of the Belgrade Youth Theatre have had the opportunity to take part in this renowned national festival.
