Wardobe Dept's Coffee Morning raises £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support

On Friday 30 September our wardobe department took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning by hosting their own coffee morning at the Belgrade Production Services workshop on Red Lane, raising £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is a nationwide event that sees workplaces, community centres, schools and libraries, bring people together for a cup of tea and cake to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Members of staff from the Belgrade made their own cakes and biscuits for the event, including chocolate cake, cup cakes, lemon and poppy seed sponge, swiss roll and flapjacks. There was also a raffle and a tombola with prizes such as a fancy wall clock, champagne, cookery books, chocolates and toiletries up for grabs.

The event was also a great opportunity for staff from the theatre to have a look around the Belgrade Production Services workshop and see how the talented team over there are getting on with building the set and creating the costumes for this year’s pantomime, Mother Goose.
