Wishee Washee Launches Christmas Camper Contest at Coventry Transport Museum

Posted on 14 November 2014

You know it’s getting close to Christmas in Coventry when Santa and Wishee Washee roll into town on a vintage scooter!

This week saw two of Coventry’s best-loved festive traditions celebrated in a photo shoot organised by Coventry Transport Museum to launch their annual ‘Campers Christmas’ competition. The event, which famously attracts camper vans, minis and scooters from across Coventry and Warwickshire will take place on Sun 23rd November from 2.00pm – 6.00pm.

Representing the cast of Aladdin was master of mayhem, Craig Hollingsworth, who is playing Wishee Washee in this year’s show. After a quick meet and greet with fans, there was just enough time for Wishee to come face to face with Santa Claus before posing for photos aboard an authentic ‘Mod’ scooter!

Now in its fourth year, the Christmas Campers ‘n’ Scooters event will see Millennium Place transformed into a festive wonderland of blinged up campers and scooters with great prizes to be won for the best decorated vehicles.

The switch on runs from 4.15pm – 5.15pm, with prizes awarded at 4.45pm from the cast of the Belgrade Theatre’s Christmas Pantomime ‘Aladdin’.
