What The Critics are saying about Get Carter

Posted on 24 March 2016

It’s a busy old week for drama fans what with Lorraine Hansberry’s landmark family drama, ‘A Raisin in the Sun’ in B2 and Northern Stage’s critically acclaimed production of the cult classic ‘Get Carter’ running on the Main Stage.

Set amidst the seedy underworld of 1960s Tyneside, this grim and gripping new stage adaptation of Ted Lewis’ hard-hitting crime thriller is a must see for any fan of a grisly gangland epic and comes complete with a fantastic cast and a gravity-defying set inspired by the harsh post-war landscapes of the industrial North East.

If Quentin Tarantino did theatre….it might look something like this!

Here are just some of the great comments the show has been receiving on tour. Plus, enjoy an exclusive sneak peak of the production by clicking on the brand new show trailer above.
