The Great Belgrade Bake Off

Posted on 10 October 2014

This week Belgrade staff showed their support for Macmillan Cancer Support by attending a Coffee Morning hosted by the Wardrobe department at Belgrade Production Services.

There was plenty of tea and cake to go around as well as a tombola, an auction and a couple of competitions. But the main event of the morning was the bake off, where several members of staff competed to become Star Baker. In the end, the winner of the Bake Off was the Belgrade Housekeeper, Christina Ivens for her mouth-watering ‘Chocolate and Orange Cake’ for the best consistency in the sponge, which was judged by our General Manager of Signatures Catering, Lynne Craig. The People’s Prize was awarded to Freelance Props Maker, Gillian Tormey for her mouth-watering Plum and Custard cake.

After stuffing their faces with cake the staff managed to raise an amazing total of £1141.40. The money raised will help make sure those who are battling cancer are not alone from there diagnosis through to their treatment and beyond.
