Video: Spotlight On Middle Youth Theatre and Shine On

In this video interview with speak to Hannah Uttley who is Co-Directing I Burn, I Pine, I Perish as part of the July Festival of Theatre by and for Young People.

I Burn, I Pine, I Perish is the product of the collaboration between our Middle Youth Theatre group for ages 11 -16 and Shine On group for ages 50+. They have been working together with theatre practitioner Chris White from the RSC, exploring the theme of love in Shakespeare’s texts.

Performing in our B2 auditorium from Thurs 9 – Sun 19 July, I Burn, I Pine, I Perish uses verbatim stories from the Shine On group based on their experiences of falling in love and falling out of love. Find out more about the show in our video with Hannah below.

The July Festival of Theatre by and for Young People runs from Wed 8 – Sun 19 July and is part of a year-long programme of events celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Theatre in Education which was invented at the Belgrade.
