Shining a Spotlight on Woman Who…

Posted on 6 September 2018

At the Belgrade Theatre, we enjoy building strong links with local organisations, offering a range of partnership opportunities, including sponsorship arrangements and our Directors’ Club corporate membership scheme. As Coventry moves towards its year as City of Culture in 2021, we feel it’s more important than ever to be fostering ties with businesses across the region, and we’re thrilled to have such a diverse group of Directors’ Club members, representing industries ranging from hospitality to finance.

Among our valued Directors’ Club members is Woman Who… – an organisation set-up to celebrate the achievements of women in business and help nurture the entrepreneurs and rising stars of the future.

Launched in April 2016, the Coventry and Warwickshire Woman Who… Awards was established to champion the work of local businesswomen. Soon after, the organisation branched out to develop the Woman Who… Achieves Network, in partnership with the FSB (Warwickshire and Coventry Branch). Held quarterly in venues across the West Midlands, the Woman Who… Achieves Network provides opportunities for businesswomen to share success stories and make new connections.

Other aspects of the organisation’s work includes mentoring and training opportunities as well as masterclasses in public speaking and growing a personal brand. More recently, the first edition of I Am A Woman Who was published, sharing the business journeys and triumphs of various Woman Who… network speakers.

Sandra Garlick, the founder of the Woman Who…Awards, has also been appointed to the FSB’s National Women in Enterprise Taskforce. She will also highlight issues faced by women in business and feed local information back to the national Taskforce.

We take pride in our flourishing relationships with local businesses and endeavour to provide a unique and vibrant partnerships. Join the Directors’ Club to entertain clients, target new markets, reward staff and show your commitment to the local community by associating your business with the Belgrade Theatre.
