All this week 50+ group have been performing their new production, From the End Spring New Beginnings, as part of the Coventry Mysteries Festival.

See some photos of their immersive production, which invites the audience into a world of re-creation, in the Images & Video Gallery on the right.

The final performance is taking place in the city centre at The Mysteries Festival Hub, which is located at 19 Market Way, at noon tomorrow (Sat 15 June). It only lasts for 20 minutes so if you’re in town pop in and see it for yourself.

Attendance at From the End Spring New Beginnings is free, but there is a limited audience capacity. Unfortunately there is no lift access at the Mysteries Hub so the performance space, which is on the first floor, can only be accessed by stairs. If you have any access issues then please bear this in mind.

The Belgrade’s 50+ group began life as part of the theatre’s Creative Gymnasium programme – a pilot project created in partnership with Age UK Coventry and Coventry University, which explored how taking part in arts activity can significantly improve and maintain positive health and well-being for the 50+ population of Coventry.

The Coventry Mysteries Festival is an eight day celebration of free dance, drama, music and the arts taking place across the city from 8 to 15 June. The festival aims to transform urban spaces and provide opportunities for citizens and visitors to perceive spaces and community relations in different ways.
