Performers revealed for Monologue Slam Coventry

Posted on 5 November 2018

Rising stars from in and around Coventry will go head-to-head on stage this month when Monologue Slam UK comes to the Belgrade Theatre.

Showcasing some of the region’s most exciting new talent, the single-day event offers emerging actors the chance to perform prepared monologues in front of a warm and welcoming audience and an expert panel of industry professionals in a position to help them move their careers forward.

Through an open applications process, Monologue Slam provides a platform for actors from all backgrounds, including those who may not have access to more traditional routes in to the industry, as well as giving directors, agents and casting directors a new avenue through which to source fresh talent.

Following a lengthy auditions process, twenty performers have now been selected to deliver a monologue of their choice in one of three rounds, with two further participants still to be picked from a forthcoming Monologue Slam Masterclass, taking place at the Belgrade on Saturday 17 November. Places for the Masterclass are still available to book now.
