Listen to The Mustard and Blood Band Perform Live on Radio Plus FM

Posted on 9 June 2016

With Summer on its way and the promise of festival season in the air, we’re gearing up for our very own mini-season of live music in B2 with the arrival of Coventry music collective, Mustard and Blood from Thurs 16 – Sat 18 June.

Combining cult hits from world cinema with a sprinkling of traditional theatrical flair, The Mustard and Blood band are a collective of 17 local musicians and performers who have come together to present a unique festival of themed music, taking in everything from Quentin Tarantino to vintage 007 by way of French ‘chanson’ music.

From John Barry to Serge Gainsbourg, Edith Piaf to Pulp Fiction…this is B2 as you’ve never seen (or heard it) before!

Ahead of their arrival in B2, our friends at Radio Plus FM caught up with band members Johnny, Chris, Gee and Si for an intimate, acoustic session at the studios, which included an exclusive performances of two tracks featured in the live show, Tennessee Stud by Johnny Cash and Je Suis Le Poinconneur des Lilas by Serge Gainsbourg.

Bring out the Gimp – music from the films of Quentin Tarantino runs on Thursday 16 June, 8pm & Saturday 18 June, 2.15pm. Francophile – an evening of French chanson music runs on Friday 17 June, 8pm and Shaken not Stirred – the music of James Bond & John Barry runs on Saturday 18 June, 8pm in B2.

Tickets are priced at £11.25 each or, better still, you can see all three concerts for £27.
