Heritage Open Day this Saturday!

Posted on 9 September 2016

We’re celebrating Heritage Open Day this Saturday (10 Sept) with a range of events that give new insights into the world of theatre and what goes on behind the scenes at the Belgrade.

The morning Backstage Tour in the main theatre building had limited availability and is now fully booked. However, if you missed out on booking that tour, fear not, as our Workshops will be open between 11am and 3pm, where Rachel and Johnny from our Production Team will be available to show visitors around.

The address is: Belgrade Production Services, Aintree Close, Coventry, CV6 5QB, and access is via the large shutter door at the side of the workshop, opposite Emperor Windows. Parking is on street only and limited spaces are available.

At 3pm in the Burbidge Room on the first floor of the theatre, our Communications Manager, Ray Clenshaw, will be giving a talk about the Belgrade, from its construction in the late 1950s up to the present day. Indulge yourself with a tasty Afternoon Tea while you listen – available from the ground-floor café, priced at £5.50.

Throughout the day there are opportunities for children and families to explore the theatre’s public areas with our Family Heritage Trail and Quiz. You can pick up the quiz sheets from Box Office on the day and then hand it back in to Box Office once completed, to be entered into a free draw to win a pair of tickets to this year’s panto, Dick Whittington.

We look forward to seeing you there!
