George Nichols - A Play for Modern Times

Posted on 25 August 2017

In the last in our series of short films with the creative team of Faithful Ruslan – The Story of a Guard Dog, Assistant Director George Nichols draws parallels between the production and its modern relevance. Despite being based on events which took place during post-revolution Russia, the story of Ruslan reveals and allows audiences to explore some startling similarities which are taking place in the world today. George explains how he was “amazed… [by] how incredibly relevant it is to modern day… both in America and Britain.”

The gripping stage adaptation of Georgi Vladimov’s cult novel which takes the stage this September, Faithful Ruslan – The Story of a Guard Dog, relates to any situation where unquestioning loyalty to an idea or a cause threatens to plunge our world into chaos.

Faithful Ruslan – The Story of a Guard Dog runs on the B2 Stage from Sat 2 – Sat 16 Sept. Tickets are available now priced at £13 & £15.50 by calling the Belgrade Box Office team on 024 7655 3055 or book online.
