First Look. Behind The Scenes of Roll Over Beethoven - The Photo Call

Posted on 8 July 2016

With our new Autumn season now on sale, preparation is already underway for the arrival of original rock ‘n’ roll musical, Roll Over Beethoven which opens on the Main Stage from Sat 17 September.

Roll Over Beethoven is a fun, high-energy new musical that tells the story of how dreary, post-war England was transformed forever by American Rock ‘n’ Roll.

Bringing a blaze of neon colour to the monochrome streets of Blighty, this thrilling new musical is written and directed by Bob Eaton, who recently scored a smash-hit at the Belgrade with the 2-Tone musical Three Minute Heroes and features an original Rock ‘n’ Roll score that is sure to raise spirits and raise the roof!

Ahead of the show’s arrival, we took a step back in time to 1956 with visiting cast members Chloe Edwards-Wood, Michael Fletcher, Niall Kerrigan, Oliver Beamish and Joe Eaton-Kent (who some of you might remember from Three Minute Heroes) for a 50s-inspired photo shoot complete with working Wurlitzer juke box, vintage make-up and hair stylist and authentic stratocaster guitars!

You can view a selection of our favourite highlights from the shoot by clicking on the gallery to your right. Plus, take a peek behind-the-scenes in our video shot live at The Albany Theatre.

Tickets for Roll Over Beethoven are on sale now. To book, call our friendly Box Office on 024 7655 3055 or visit for details.

We would like to say a special thank you to our friends at The Albany Theatre and stylist extraordinaire, Sarah Russell Vintage Hair and Make Up for their help and support on the day.
