Festive Fashions Fit For A Princess! Stars of Belgrade Panto Sparkle at Debenhams Beauty Shoot.

Christmas shoppers in Coventry were treated to a surprise visit from the stars of Belgrade panto earlier this week as cast members Jessica Niles, Jenny Phillips and Cassie Rogers took time out from their busy performance schedule to sample some of the city’s best, seasonal beauty buys.

The fairytale trio, who together play the roles of Beauty, The Enchantress and the ensemble in this year’s festive production at the Belgrade, enjoyed an exclusive afternoon of pampering fit for a princess at the popular city centre branch of Debenhams before sampling some of the season’s fbest beauty bargains in countdown to party season.

After posing for photos in the iconic Debenhams store window, there was just enough time for Beauty and her fellow panto co-stars to enjoy a meet and greet with shoppers before returning to the theatre to begin preparations for the evening performance of Beauty and the Beast.

The exclusive invitation came at the request of the Coventry Debenhams branch and follows the national launch of the store’s #Foundit campaign which encourages consumers to share their ‘found it’ moment on social media to be in with a chance of winning £1,000 worth of shopping in the lead up to Christmas.

Commenting on her visit, Jessica Niles who plays the role of Beauty, said: ‘With such a busy performance schedule over Christmas, it was great to be able to take time out to catch up on some Christmas shopping with my fellow cast mates and to start planning that perfect party outfit. Playing ‘Beauty’ in the show, I get to wear some absolutely stunning outfits, all of which are produced by the Belgrade’s talented wardrobe team, so I’m used to glamour when it comes to being on stage. Now and again though, it’s nice to take a break from all the glitter and sample what the city has to offer’.

Leanne Draper, Visual Manager for Debenhams added: ‘It was fantastic to welcome the cast of panto to the store ahead of Christmas. December is always a very busy and exciting time of year in store as shoppers from across the city begin their search for the perfect Christmas gift. The girls certainly attracted plenty of attention from shoppers in their sparkling outfits and left everyone feeling very festive! Whether its cosmetics, jewellery, toys, perfume or clothes, our #Foundit campaign is all about sharing that sense of excitement that comes with finding that perfect gift. And of course, Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without splashing out on a festive beauty item or two and who better to help promote our festive fashion range than a fairytale princess herself’.

Following the success of last year’s record-breaking production of Aladdin, Beauty and The Beast features all the hallmarks of a traditional Belgrade Theatre pantomime, spectacular scenery, incredible costumes, hilarious slapstick and plenty of audience participation.

Tickets for Beauty and the Beast are priced from £14.50 – £23 for adults and £9.50 – £18 for children. Family tickets are available from £36. With this year’s festive extravaganza on course to smash Box Office records, the Belgrade Theatre management is urging customers who prefer certain performances and seats to book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
