Fabulous 30s Vintage Traders Announced!

Posted on 5 September 2014

In countdown to the opening of Propaganda Swing and to celebrate Heritage Open Days 2014, the Belgrade Theatre will be hosting a Fabulous 30s Vintage Clothing & Craft Fayre on Saturday 13th September between 10am and 4pm in the Main Foyer.

As well as sampling a selection of stalls selling the best in local vintage and handmade crafts, visitors can look forward to a crash-course in the art of 1930s glamour with vintage hair and make-up specialist Sarah Russell. A selection of original costume designs from the show will be available to preview as part of an exclusive temporary exhibition plus, our friends at Sounds Vintage will be on hand to ‘jazz things up’ with gramophone recordings of a selection of toe-tapping hits from the jazz era!

Among the list of traders confirmed so far are:

Frock N Vintage
Vintage Revisited
Bodkin and Bead
Belles Roies Artisans
Beautiful Bunting
Teddy & Mavis
SGR Vintage Hair and Make up
Sounds Vintage Gramophones

If you’re thinking of bringing the family along, Coventry Fundraisers will be on hand to offer vintage craft taster sessions throughout the day between 10am – 4pm. All monies raised from the sessions will go towards supporting the theatre’s Give The Gift Of Theatre campaign.

As a registered charity, the Belgrade Theatre runs a Give the Gift of Theatre Campaign providing families facing challenging circumstances and financial hardship, the opportunity to see performances at the theatre for free. For these families, referred by Coventry Food bank, going to the theatre would be an otherwise unaffordable luxury. Give the Gift of Theatre allows them to spend quality time together, create unforgettable memories and improves mental well-being.

Entry to the Fabulous 30s Clothing and Craft Fayre is absolutely free. Plus, why not jazz up your evening by staying for the opening night of Propaganda Swing at 7pm. For ticket information, call the Box Office on 024 7655 3055 or visit where tickets are cheaper.
