Did you know... it’s nearly 5 years since the Belgrade Theatre reopened?

Posted on 9 August 2012

September 2007 saw the reopening of the Belgrade Theatre following a £14 million redevelopment which included the addition of the B2 Studio Space. Since then the Belgrade has gone from strength to strength and re-established itself as a leading producing theatre. Hamish Glen’s artistic vision for the theatre has been welcomed by patrons and critics alike, putting the Belgrade back at the heart of Coventry.

To mark the 5th Anniversary, the Belgrade will be holding a series of events celebrating the success of the last 5 years throughout September (details to be announced shortly); culminating in a Gala Evening on Friday 21 September.

The Gala Evening will include a discussion on the Main Stage with Hamish Glen, Artistic Director & Chief Executive and Justine Themen, Associate Director of the Belgrade Community & Education Company about the journey the Belgrade has undertaken in the last 5 years and the vision for the future. Guests will then be able to watch one of two Belgrade Theatre productions being staged that evening; 20th Century Boy and Fragile before returning to the foyer for a celebratory party, including music from local band The Kustom.

Tickets for the 5th Anniversary Gala Evening cost £22.25 including entry to see 20th Century Boy on the Main Stage or £17.50 to see Fragile in B2. To book your tickets please phone Box Office on 024 7655 3055 and quote Gala.
