#B2BExpo17 - one week to go!

Posted on 3 January 2017

Businesses are set for an uncertain year in 2017 as the political landscape both here and abroad will see new faces and new ways of working. It is therefore even more important that businesses start the year on a high by attending one of the best business events in our region. The #B2BExpo17 offers networking, an expo and a range of seminars for both those business owners just starting up and those wanting to take their businesses to the next level.

Organised by FSB in conjunction with the Belgrade Theatre and Touch FM the #B2BExpo17 is on Tuesday 10 January here at the Belgrade. Last year the expo saw over 250 businesses come together for the best networking breakfast of the year and over 200 more attend throughout the day. The event will kick off with the free breakfast at 7.15am, followed by the expo and seminars running from 9am until 3pm.

This year’s key note speakers include Emma Heathcote-James from The Little Soap Company and David Burbidge from Coventry UK City of Culture BID 2021. Emma set up The Little Soap Company in 2008 and has been on a roller coaster journey since then, from making soap at the kitchen table to selling hundreds of thousands of bars in the national supermarkets. Emma will share her story of how The Little Soap Company was the first company to be taken on by Waitrose within its first year of trading. David will tell us why Coventry is bidding to be the UK City of Culture 2021, how the bid team are developing the proposal, the economic benefits for the region and how businesses can support.

Throughout the day businesses can access some free advice by attending one of our eight seminars and workshops offering support with branding, protecting your business online, marketing, customer services and generally being more productive.

Edward Cunynghame, a Business Acquisition & Interim Manager who attended last year, said:
“The day was a perfect mix of learning, networking and inspirational talks. The list of speakers provided excellent entertainment but also valuable business ideas. Combined with a good number of stands, allowing new contacts to be made, the day was the ideal start to the year.”

Attendance at the expo, breakfast & seminars is FREE and registration for the breakfast and seminars is via
