Pink Sari Revolution Panel Discussion

Posted on 10 October 2017

After the first Saturday matinee performance of Pink Sari Revolution, we’re excited to be hosting a panel to themes raised within the show.

With critically-acclaimed director of Pink Sari Revolution, Suba Das, international human rights activist Mandy Sanghera, and Subah Rasab representing Coventry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre, a winner of the 2017 GSK IMPACT Award on the panel, this promises to be a fascinating discussion about themes within Pink Sari Revolution and women’s rights.

Belgrade Associate Director and Director of its Community and Education Department, Justine Themen will be chairing the panel. Justine also directed the all-female cast of Alfred Fagon Award-nominated Red Snapper at the Belgrade last year.

Discussing the impact of honour-based violence and abuse touched upon within the play, this panel discussion will explore the themes of the show and how they relate to a wider context in terms of feminism, human rights and the status of women.

This post-show panel is for ticket-holders to the Saturday 14 Oct performance of Pink Sari Revolution only, so if make sure to book your tickets.
