Our Spring 2018 Season is on sale now

We’re thrilled to announce our Spring 2018 Season which is now on sale! You will be spoiled for choice as we present a huge selection of musicals, dramas, comedies, family shows and of course, a variety of music acts for you to enjoy.

Musicals

We have a host of fantastic musicals taking the stage this spring including a wonderfully lavish retelling of the world-famous The Sound of Music Craig Revel Horwood’s sparling, swinging ’60s, Soho-set The Son of a Preacher Man Bryony Kimmings and Complicité’s vital and extraordinary take on cancer A Pacifist’s Guide to the War on Cancer direct from the West-End is Thriller Live, heartfelt and hilarious contemporary musical The Leftovers the essential and loved Scottish musical Sunshine on Leith astonishing dance and musical spectacle Flashdance and Evita, based on the Oscar-winning film.

Dramas & Thrillers

From gripping dramas to nail biting thrillers, we’ve got a variety of entertaining dramas and thrillers this season. Black Men Walking delivers a sensational story which exploring the journey of three black men; Penned by Anthony Horowitz, we’re excited to present mind-bending psychological thriller Mindgame South Asian drama meets Marivaux’s classic French farce in The Game of Love & Chai Charles Dickens’ masterpiece Great Expectations is wonderfully retold on stage; Just an Ordinary Lawyer explores black people’s struggles for freedom, justice and human rights and The Classic Thriller Theatre Company are back with The Cast of the Frightened Lady.

Comedies

Join us for some laugh-out-loud fun at the Belgrade! Lovingly ripped off from the hugely successful 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Selladoor productions will be presenting Spamalot back by phenomenal demand, the multi award-winning West End smash hit comedy The Play That Goes Wrong is returning to the Belgrade; London Classic Theatre present a major new touring production of Noël Coward’s sparkling comedy Private Lives and Mackenzie’s comedy classic Whiskey Galore breathes fresh life into a well-loved masterpiece.

Family Shows

We’ve got something for everyone in our Spring Season, including plenty to delight our youngest audience members. Our family shows include Awful Auntie – Live on Stage, Red Riding Hood and the Wolf, Dear Zoo, The Twisted Tale of Hansel and Gretel, Easter Bunny’s Eggs Factor, What the Ladybird Heard, Horrible Histories – More of Barmy Britain, The Bee Project, The Tempest, Teletubbies Live!, Cirque Berserk and Peppa Pig’s Adventure.

Music & Entertainment

As ever, we have a wonderful line-up of music acts at the Belgrade this spring. These include The Sensational 60s Experience, Seven Drunken Nights – The Story of the Dubliners, Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers, Masters of the House: Sing the Musicals, Back to Bacharach, Roy Orbison & the Traveling Wilburys Experience, Johnny Cash Roadshow, The Dreamboys, ABBA Mania, Walk Like a Man, Unforgettable: A Nat King Cole Tribute, The Drifters, Frankly Sinatra and Joan Armatrading.

Christmas 2018
While you’re in the festive spirit, get ahead of the game and book now for our Christmas shows. A major new musical adaptation of everyone’s favourite festive film, Nativity! is returning home to Coventry in October 2018! Next year’s pantomime is also on sale. We’re thrilled to announce that our pantomime next year will be Sleeping Beauty.
